As the saying goes, opposits attract. We have found this to be true many times when we are asked to organize a home for couples who have differing organizing styles. Sometimes it's a difference of whether it's ok to toss your clothes on a chair at night or if you should put them into a hamper. Sometimes it's whether paper needs to be retained or if digital filing is the way to go. Difference of opinion on how to contain and maintain "stuff" can lead to tension, stress, and arguments, not to mention lost time and money.
Once after organizing a home, one partner stopped me and said, "You know, we've spent a lot of money on couples counseling. We could have saved a lot had we just hired you first." Such a huge compliment and definitely a sobering thought.
